Sagestar stared blankly at the tree. He glanced to the others. He wanted them to be scared as well, for some reason. He felt alone. But he wouldn't let it affect him. If a warrior and his deputy could do this and feel unafraid, then so could he.
Courage coursed through his veins as he looked back at the tree. His claw ran across the bark, resulting in burnt bark across his paw. He frowned. He didn't like this burnt tree. It was only in the way. But anywhere, he realized, it would be in the way.
If only he could delete this tree from the earth. It would hurt no one. It wouldn't take away all the oxygen, just a small portion of it. It was dead, anyways. Sagestar knew that it could no longer give off oxygen. It would do no harm.
In some places it was hollow, giving places for a rabbit to live or a animal to descend. Maybe it was a good resort for prey. He looked around the meadow. There was a small clearing that seemed to be unnoticed. They would move it there.
It was less than four foxlengths away. It would take no more than the three of them and a little bit of time to move it to the side or the middle of the clearing. There would be rabbits going through that clearing, and maybe a vole. This tree could very well be a good source for food later.
"We should move it to that clearing over there." he said with an authorized voice, his sage eyes glowing with happiness. He would delete this tree's existence for the better in the meadow. The meadow would no longer have to be tampered with.
Happiness and laziness coursed through his veins at the same time. Although he didn't want to move it, he knew he must. His sage eyes looked back at them. He nodded at the bark thing finally, then looked to the others, now in position.
"Ready?"

Whiteheart nodded, noticing a change in his leader. Although he was a natural leader, Whiteheart preffered to have others take charge, if only to instill some confidence in them. He was glad his leader was finally taking charge.
Whiteheart pressed his forepaws on the bark, carefully keeping his claws sheathed and meowed, "Ready, Sagestar. What about you, Vinetangle?"

Vinetangle retracted her claws. She continued to stare down at the bark. She looked deep in thought, but she really wasn't. She wanted the tree to be in the ground once more. She hated that it had fallen out of the line of trees that give way to the meadow. If she could guess, she would say Sagestar was more agitated by the tree in the meadow. She sort of got the vibe. Although, he seemed to have gained more confidence. That meant they were all ready to move the tree, she assumed. She smiled lightly.
Her ears twitched at the sound of his voice. He put authority in his voice. She lifted her head to peer at the clearing. She hadn't seen it before. She gave a slight nod. That would be a good place. It wasn't very far, and surely the three of them could get it there. She examined the deep scar on her fore leg. She hoped it wouldn't hinder their efforts. If she struggled, they would struggle. She would just have to ignore the vague but pinching pain that she could possibly get.
She widened her eyes at the single word. Such power it had. "Ready?" he had asked. She felt her muscles become tense, in such a way that it was as if her body was preparing for the coming battle- with a tree. The paw of her injured leg had only been partly pressed into the tree, compared to her uninjured leg. She pressed it down fully. There was a slight pinch, but it became numb after a heartbeat. She took a deep breath then exhaled. "I'm ready," she growled with determination. She shifted her hind paws on the ground. Her tail whipped sharply to the side before she pushed forward.
[yes this is lame, I guess I have a 'low muse' at the moment ; D]

Sagestar only slightly smirked, beginning to push the log into the clearing. It was heavier than he had thought, but the three of them could get it there if they tried. He glanced to the others, his claws staying sheathed, no matter how much he wanted to rip the tree to bits.
Authority coursed through his veins as he continued to push, gritting his teeth as he pushed. They were almost halfway there now. He looked back at the other two as they pushed. They seemed to be doing their best.
Were they tired? If they were, they could stop. He hoped the both of them knew that. He hated physical labor, but he wouldn't sit back and make them do it while it was his problem. If anything, he should be the only one to do it.
But Sagestar didn't want that. His sheathed claws raked across the tree as he pushed it. Leaves were being littered across the meadow. The sound of them pushing the tree, the grunts that supressed from the three of them, would probably chase away any means of prey.
But it didn't matter. It was going to be easy to find prey elsewhere. There was usually nothing in the meadow other than the rare vole or hare. And this tree, once it was in the new clearing, would now be a place for prey to nest.
It was the perfect spot.
[Extremely low muse is what I always have with Sagestar. It's fine. xD]

Whiteheart could feel the rough bark beneath his paws as he pushed, and he was pretty sure he had a splinter in one of them. He shook his head, he would deal with it later, right now, his Clanmates needed him. He thought about how different these cats were from the ones in his old home. Back there, the leader put forth almost no work, he was more of an authority figure than an actual worker. Though he sometimes missed his old home, as he worked beside his leader and Clanmate, he felt there was no place he would rather be.
Whiteheart gave a sharp intake of breath as he felt the splinter go deeper into his paw. He ignored the pain, however, and continued on with the job.

Vinetangle had pushed the tree with all the power she could. There was a dull ache in her leg now. She ignored it. She moved her paw swiftly as she spotted a thin piece of wood sticking out. She was sure she narrowly avoided getting a splinter. She looked over at Sagestar and Whiteheart. She noticed the deputy seemed to be some sort of pain. Perhaps he had gotten a splinter. Well, he should've been more careful.
She plopped down in the grass. Her heartbeat eventually went back to its normal paced. She gazed on proudly at what they had accomplished. She hoped the noise hadn't scared away all the prey. After the hard work, she was itching to sink her teeth into flesh. She gave her scar a few licks. Since that pain would probably dominate all others, she shifted her paws to make sure there was no splinters whatsoever. She was glad to find her pads and the soft skin in between completely unharmed.
Having only heard about and seen cats having splinters or thorns in their pads, she didn't actually know what it felt like. She was always the one to step carefully. She'd gotten a thorn snagged in her paw once but not deep enough to really hurt. She could imagine it was just one of those little things that got into places that caused a twinge of pain. However, the pain could be erased by tugging it out. Herbs would be used if necessary. If Whiteheart had been treading on it when he pushed the tree, it might have been lodged in fairly deep. [yeah, I seem to have a lack of spark with this role-play now.. I guess it's because Vinetangle one of my less interesting characters, plus, I haven't really been role-playing her like I wrote in her bio XD I guess it's harder for me to role-play meaner cats.. if they aren't totally evil like my Cardinalclan apprentice and my rogue ..]

Whiteheart stepped back a pace, admiring the work they had accomplished. He lifted his paw to inspect it. The splinter had lodged itself even deeper into his paw. He licked his paw slowly and, when the end had poked through, he pulled out the splinter and spat it out in the direction of the tree. His paw started to bleed, so he licked a few times then set it gently on the ground, he would find some marigold later and put it on.
"I think we did a pretty good job. But, we might have to wait awhile before we go hunting," Whiteheart meowed.

When Sagestar had finished the job, his right paw ached. He hadn't gotten a splinter in it, and since they were low on marigold back at the camp, he hoped that the others hadn't either. He looked over to Vinetangle questioningly. Yes, she looked fine. Maybe a few dull aches, but nothing major. He could tell that from her expression. That one of his clanmates were fine. Sagestar hoped that his deputy was the same story, but it was different. His paw was bleeding where a splinter must have gotten in-lodged. Sagestar slightly sighed. He hated hurting his clanmates. And his deputy was the one he had hurt. It wasn't deadly, but if it got infected, it could be. He twitched his ears with slight concern as he saw the paw still only slightly bleeding. "Do you think we should find some marigold before we hunt?" he questioned, looking back at his deputy. There was slight concern in his eyes. He had just seen the medicine cat den and knew there was no marigold. Maybe he could help the medicine cat stock up on some. [Yeah. My muse on this role play is lower. Star (Noblelion), you should make a character for each clan. I like RPing with you. :3] [bg=000000][atrb=width,438,true] [atrb=border,0,true] |

Whitheart looked at his leader. He could tell Sagestar was concerned for him, even though it was only a bleeding paw.
"After all the noise we made, we should find some first. Then, hopefully, enough time will have passed that the prey will be up and running again," Whiteheart meowed, carefully putting weight down on his injured paw as he stood up.
[@blair;; Thanks! Its been fun RPing with you too!XD I've been planning on making some characters for the other Clans for awhile, I just haven't had the time to do it yet. I'll try to get on that soon!]
