Rosepaw smiled at the thought. The rain fell down on her pelt easily, and she purred in happiness. She loved the rain, as she had already stated. Usually, less prey was out, but she didn't care. Rosepaw looked back at Firefly. "I hate the heat as well. . I love to swim, you see; and if it's hot then the water's too hot. And it makes you sweaty. I don't like that, either." Her eyes looked across the swamp. Sure, there would be lizards out, and maybe a bird. But there wouldn't be anything good. But she loved hunting in the rain. Hunting in the rain made it harder for the prey that was actually out to see her, and she always loved her prey not being able to see her. . Or hear her, at that. When she asked him the question, she thought about all through the clan's territory. But he had asked in the swamps. Maybe above the swampy water, there would be some voles hiding.. Or maybe they could find a rabbit hole-- That's it! A rabbit hole! She had seen one earlier. "I know where we can find some prey. There's a rabbit with two babies back in the swampy area. " Hm, sounds good. Getting a rabbit or a vole is ten times better than getting the usual frog or lizard. " He loved the taste of rabbits, but he had only tasted a few. Plus voles and rabbits are a lot warmer and sweeter tasting then stupid frogs. And the rabbit has babies, making them easy targets. But I'm afraid that there might be a fox or something in there. . they like to hide in dens when it rains so they won't get wet. What a bunch of mouse brains. . He hated foxes, and looked for any opening to insult them. Useless, stupid, pathetic animals they are. They don't do anything but kill clan mates and eat our prey. His thoughts fumed, but he calmed himself down. " In the swampy area you say? " That's a pretty dangerous place, I don't know why rabbits would live somewhere near there. " Those rabbits must be pretty dumb to make their den in one of the most dangerous spots in the swamp. " He gave a mrrow of amusement. He could entertain himself, and he could be easily entertained. Rosepaw nodded, beginning to walk in the rain. She loved the feel of it on her face. It was such a pretty rainstorm.. It wasn't thundering, it wasn't lightning, it was just.. peaceful rain. Falling from the sky.. She began to walk towards where the den was, her eyes looking back at the swamp. "I've never seen a fox. . I've seen a badger, though. They're ugly. With their black and white pelts. . Sort of like a giant skunk with claws." Skunks didn't have claws, right? It didn't matter. She stalked closer to the den. Her eyes automatically looked at the den, which looked pretty much abandoned. But there had to be something hiding in it. "It looks like the rabbit has left, but there has to be something hiding in there." she crept closer, and unfamiliar smell filling her nostrils. . What was that? She looked back to ask Firefly, who's pelt was drenched in water. Her pelt must have been drenched aswell. Neither of them probably looked very attractive. She laughed softly, not at him, but at herself. She groomed her pelt slightly before moving on, shaking the water off of it. Now she probably looked.. decent. But rain was falling down harder now. He smiled at her laughter. Not many cats laughed in this clan, unless it was a sinister chuckle. He quickly groomed his pelt, although it was always very hard to groom it. His fur was so bulk and dense it could have it's own clan. " Aw, that's too bad. And foxes are disgusting creatures. They look like they've been hit by a monster and they smell like they've been rolling in their own dung. " He spat out the harsh words, he hated foxes with all of his heart and soul. Ever since they killed some of his closest friends. He opened his mouth, but he knew all the scents that could have been there were being drowned by the rain. Well if there were rabbits here, they are probably long gone by now. . I can't even smell their scent. What bad luck. . I was looking forward to hunting them and feeding them to the clan. .
