Milkshakes senses awoke. She feels the fuzzy softness of her pillow. She gets up and stretches lightly. She lets out a little squeak of a yawn. She grooms over her ruffled long fur. Her ear twitches when she hears the sound of the lovely can opener. She bounds into the kitchen. She rubs against her owner's legs eagerly begging for food. She watches, practically drooling as she puts the soft mushy delight into Milkshakes bowl. She purrs happily as she devours the contents. She licks her muzzle as she finishes. She then grooms her paws and face. She pads into the living room. She likes the feel of the shag carpet. She sprawls across it where sun leaks in from the window. She rolls over on her back and enjoys the heat. She eventually gets up. She goes to the door and slips through the littler door on the bottom for her. She breaths in the scent of the outside. Grass and birds, mostly. Some smells from other cats. She sits in her yard and watches the cars go by. A butterfly flutters over her head. She paws at it a little bit. She watches with amusement as it disappears from sight.

Bela yawns, then slowly pads over to the fence. She looks through the small crack that is at the perfect height for her eye to peer through; she is seeing if Milkshakes is awake yet. She narrows her eyes as she spots her, finally, watching a butterfly, overhead. She shakes her head, so kit-like, she thinks with a small smile. She silently leaps up onto the fence, getting ready to sneak up on her friend. As she lands, she looks for her friend's exact position. Her fur is ruffled in the slighty wind but she ignores it. She lands lightly on the other side, taking a quick glance around, checking for any Twolegs. She finds none, and continues on. As she approaches her friend, she slows down. She takes care to place each paw down, silently, stealthily. She can't afford not to; she knows Milkshakes has very good hearing, even for a cat. She crouches down at the last few pawsteps and instead, takes a big leap. She lands straight on top of her, yowling, playfully.
