Destinystar flicked her ears at the afternoon sun. It was cooler down in the great ravine but still sort of muggy. She paused tasting the air, it was nearly sun-high and the large rocky slopes needed to be checked for loose rocks and snakes.
She yowled for all able bodied warriors. "Rock Patrol!" She yowled in her high chiming voice. She curled up her tail as A few cats emerged. The Clan was growing.

Blossomflower heard the yowl as she appeared through the camp's entrance; she has just come back from a small hunting trip of her own. She was feeling tired, unusual for her, but she was determined to accompany her leader on this patrol; to prove herself to the clan, although many already accepted her. Firstly she deposited the few pieces of fresh-kill she had caught, then padded up to her leader. 'Allright, then, I'm ready to go.. shall I call on Bloodpaw as well?' she mewed, tail swishing as she waited for her leader's reply.

Turtlepatch steps out of the camp. She runs to her clan mates standing outside. She almost calls to the cats to get their attention. However, they are already looking at her. A medicine cat suddenly appearing has to mean something important. She nearly smiles at this. She looks down, clearing her thoughts. Trying hard to keep her voice steady, she informs them,"Sometime early this morning I saw Bloodpaw leave. I didn't see any older cats so I suspected mischievousness." She looks around to see that Bloodpaw isn't with the cats getting ready to go on patrol. Her tail twitches with anxiety. Apprentices shouldn't be out alone. "This is bad. You'd better hurry and look for her!" She meows worriedly. There aren't really any predators, but falling rocks can kill the young she-cat. Even though she left camp without her mentor or any warriors, she still doesn't deserve to die before elderhood. The medicine cat can never understand an apprentices urge to go off by themselves. She does accept that this happens and they have the need to prove themselves at times. Turtlepatch's pelt bristles at the horrible images of a young cat getting crushed or falling to her death. Even the best of herbs probably wouldn't be able to do anything about damaged ribs and/or internal bleeding. She knows those things exist, and that really nothing can be done about them, sadly. She gives a silent prayer to starclan to keep Bloodpaw safe until she returns to camp or is found.

Blossomflower whipped around. 'Are you serious? Bloodpaw left by herself? I can't believe it...' She mewed crossly yet on the inside she was full of worry, her heart beating fast. She turned to Destinystar, 'I will set up a few patrols say.. one in each direction? She probably went hunting or perhaps exploring, knowing her..' She mewed this all at once and at a rather hurried pace. Then, she looked straight at her, waiting for some sign of acknowledgment, she thought she saw a brief nod from her leader so she called for silence. 'Listen, we must hurry, as you all are well aware, many predators roam our territory and all could be fatal to an apprentice, especially.' Here, she stopped and stared around at all her clan members, making sure they were listening. 'So, organize yourselves into groups of about three or four; make sure no kit sneaks out OR apprentice leaves by themself.' She stopped and gave a brief nod, letting them know she was finished, then she stalked off out of the camp with two other warriors following behind her.

Jademoon wakes up with a start at yowling in her ears. She isn't sure what she heard at first. She shakes her head. She rises up and stretches. She gently looses the muscles in her back and legs. She stretches her jaws in a lung wrenching yawn. She steps out of the Warrior's den and blinks her eyes a few times against the bright sun. She walks around and says a few words to some cats. She watches the Medicine cat run out of camp, apparently worried about something. Right then in registers in her mind what she heard. It was Destinystar calling a snake patrol. Jademoon dashes through camp. She dodges cats and leaps over them. She hops forward in bounds. She rockets out from the entrance. She skids to stop. If Jademoon hadn't been quick enough she wouldn't crashed right into the poor cats in her path. She pants and struggles to catch her breath. When she calms down she lets out a strained meow sound. It is one of distress. The patrol is already gone and she is too late. She looks back to see cats staring at her in awe. She must have been pretty fast. Everything was a blur when she was running. She licks the ruffled sandy fur on her chest in embarrassment. She knows she looked like a total lunatic. She sighs and tilts her head. She glares at them with her intense blue eyes. They disperse and mumble among themselves. She flicks her tail. She turns and gets on her paws. She slowly pads off after the direction of her patrolling clanmates, hoping to find them.

Blossomflower was leading a small patrol of three cats including herself to try to find Bloodpaw, the escaped apprentice. Worry coursed through her entire body, making her pelt prickle and fur stand on edge. She did not like to think of her alone and lost, even if she thought she knew where she was going. She thought she heard a small crack of a twig or something of the likes behind her and she motioned for the other two cats to stop for a moment. 'Hang on, be very quiet..' She murmured to them then cautiously pads forward in a defensive crouch; she thought it is most like an enemy of some kind. However when she stopped behind a small bush, she realized it is only a clan mate; Jademoon. Her face furrowed as she tried to think of why she wouldn't be on a patrol. She approached her yowling her name so she won't think it is a predator. 'Jademoon? It's me, Blossomflower. What.. What are you doing by yourself? Didn't you go on any patrol?' She mewed anxiously.

Jademoon paces about. She jumps backwards when a snake slithers by. She hisses at it but it doesn't notice. She gets ready to go for it. Then, she thinks she hears noises nearby that aren't prey like. She goes toward it. She steps on a twig and cringes. She glares at the twig, but is mad at her own clumsiness. Jademoon leaps out of her fur when a voice calls to her. She turns around ready to pounce when she realizes it's only Blossomflower. The brown and black lets out a breath. She regains her composure. She sits down and lifts her head up. Her blue eyes are shining a dark ocean blue. She tries to look more confident. She casually gives her paw a quick lick. She looks back at Blossomflower and tilts her head. "I woke up late," She explained,"To the sound of Destinystar calling a patrol. I was tired and had realized what she said after you'd already left." Jademoon gave her clan mate a sheepish smile. She flicks her tail, feeling foolish on the inside. However, on the outside, she keeps her cool. She thinks for a moment. She looks down then back up at the cat that had surprised her. "So, how's the patrol going?" She asks with a toothy grin.

Blossomflower's emerald green eyes turned suddenly from concerned, to narrowed and strained. Her head snapped up and she stared straight at Jademoon. 'Not successful, as I'm sure you can see,' she snapped, already under immense pressure. 'If you care to join us, I'm sure none of us will object.' Hear, her gaze passes over the other cats, challenging, as if she expected them all to reject her idea. They quickly lowered their heads nodding furiously. 'Good.' She mews with a sense of satisfaction, and abruptly turns and walks off, not waiting to see if she was following; the matter of Bloodpaw was too great to be distracted by other cats, who had woken up late and missed the patrol. Blossomflower was muttering under her breath, crossly. They had already wasted enough time, and now she feels that the chances of finding Bloodpaw may be getting slighter and slighter. She hurries along, inside her mind she is hoping Jademoon would have enough sense to join them; even for a warrior RubyClan's territory could be dangerous, if alone.

As Blossomflower stares straight at Jademoon, she stares straight back with her salty blue eyes. She isn't intimidated. She does flinch at Blossomflower's frustrated voice. Jademoon tilts her head thoughtfully. Whatever is going on seems urgent and it is best to have as many paws as possible. She gives a simple nod at Blossomflower's offer to join them. As the other warrior walks off, Jademoon hops up and hurries quickly after. She hears Blossomflower muttering, but her words were incoherent. Jademoon keeps a steady pace. She looks around frantically like the other cats seem to be doing. Then the young brown and black warrior feels confusion. "What exactly is this patrol for?" She asks, as it seems they are more worried they would be expected. She thought she heard Destinystar say they were just looking for snakes, but this seems more like a search a rescue mission with the way the cats are acting. She looks around like the other cats but not as thoroughly as she waits for Blossomflower's response. If a cat has gone from camp then it must be a young one. She figures it is an apprentice since they always go wandering off whenever they want.

Blossomflower hears Jademoon's question and rolls her eyes. As she is leading the group, no cat notices. She twists here head 'round quickly. 'This was orginally a snake patrol.. but then the medicine cat noticed Bloodpaw was missing. You know, the apprentice, Bloodpaw.' She added, sarcastically and rather unnecessarily. But this is often what Blossomflower is like; saracastic and often rude. She turns back to the front of the group. 'Anyone seeing / scenting anything?' She mewed, at last. ''Cause I'm sure not..' She gives a small sigh and continues on, trying to act calmer then she is really feeling. She looks around her, taking careful note of her surroundings. Desperately trying to see something out of the ordinary - anything, that will give her an idea to where Bloodpaw might have been, or be going. She can't have gone too far.. she thinks.
